So, you have booked your Walt Disney World vacation, now what do you do? Here is a step by step list of what needs to be done and when.
7 months from your trip, park times and show times should be out although subject to change if Disney wants to. Start planning your day to day park touring and where you want to eat. Keep in mind that if you want to change parks during the day you will have to get the park hopper option or an annual pass.
180 days from the start of your vacation you can book dinning. If you want a special dinning like Cinderella’s Royal Table book immediately.
170-70 days prior to arrival purchase your park tickets.
60 days prior you can make your fast pass reservations.
60-45 days customize your Magic Bands they ship them approximately a month prior. You will get a notification by email when they ship. If they don’t arrive within two weeks call, they will next day air them if necessary. Ours got lost on the way one time and had to be next day aired to our house.
60 days prior you can start online check in, if you have a special request for a room, you will have to wait until at least two weeks prior to arrival.
3 weeks If you are flying and taking advantage of Magical Express, your tickets and luggage tags should arrive.
2 Weeks prior room requests can be made.
5 days prior book your Disney Dinning Plan and Memory Maker if you choose to participate and those options.
I hope this helps you to remember what needs to be done when you are planning your Disney World vacation. If there is anything you think needs to be added, leave a comment here, on Twitter @disneyhelp and on Facebook at Disney Perspective.
